IT Generalist

Title: IT Generalist Type: Full time, Salaried

Summary

The IT Generalist is responsible for maintaining and providing support of the organization’s IT infrastructure including laptop, desktop, network, and maintenance. The IT Generalist will also serve as a project resource for strategic IT initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performing onsite troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
• Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
• Diligently update documentation and tickets
• Working knowledge of computers/peripherals, networking, and security to troubleshoot & remedy various issues
• Working knowledge of digital phone systems (Spectrum/Cisco)
• Deploying new workstations, laptops, printers, and network equipment
• Properly documenting all actions/events in ticket log
• Coordinate software/hardware repairs and installation of devices

Technical Competencies And Experience

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• IT certifications (CompTIA A , Net , Sec , Dell/Microsoft/Sonicwall etc) preferred
• Basic understanding & applied experience with networks, PCs and hardware configuration
• Experience and understanding of troubleshooting methodology
