Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Gymnastics Coach, specializing in Preschool, School-Age, and Ninja Warrior recreational classes! In this energetic role, you will inspire children to develop their physical skills, confidence, and love for movement through engaging coaching sessions. You will create a safe, fun, and motivating environment where kids can learn gymnastics fundamentals, ninja obstacle courses, and other sports-related activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners while improving your coaching expertise. Additional opportunities are also available on the weekends in our other programs such as Birthday Parties and Open Gyms.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct preschool, school-age, and ninja warrior classes with enthusiasm and clear communication.
- Teach from age-appropriate lesson plans that promote skill development, safety, and fun.
- Ensure all participants follow safety guidelines and proper technique during activities.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, confidence, and perseverance.
- Monitor children’s behavior and provide positive reinforcement to motivate progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding class progress and safety concerns.
- Skills
- Experience working with children in a coaching or teaching capacity, especially in gymnastics or sports instruction.
- Strong communication skills to engage children and collaborate with parents and team members.
- Knowledge of gymnastics fundamentals, or other sports-specific training instruction.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while creating an energetic and positive atmosphere.
- Background in sports team leadership or coaching across various disciplines like soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or swimming is advantageous.
- Experience with child development principles and physical education teaching methods to support diverse learning needs.
