Extreme Kids & Crew (EKC) creates fun and brave spaces for neurodivergent youth to explore, connect, create, and grow. We believe in spaces where young people can take risks, try new things, build relationships with peers, and develop a stronger relationship with themselves.
Position Summary
EKC is looking for a Youth Program Facilitator with experience working with neurodivergent youth in an enrichment, recreational, arts, or community-based setting. The Youth Facilitator will help create welcoming, flexible, and engaging programs where youth can follow their interests, build community, and develop greater autonomy. We are especially interested in candidates with knowledge or experience in anime, music, gaming, photography, and visual arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with neurodivergent youth.
- Facilitate enrichment, recreational, arts, and interest-based activities.
- Create opportunities for youth to make choices, take creative risks, and develop independence.
- Support different communication, sensory, and participation styles.
- Encourage peer connection and community-building without forcing interaction.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive program environment.
- Collaborate with the Director of Programs and EKC staff.
- Support program preparation, clean-up, communication, and basic documentation.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with neurodivergent youth.
- Is creative, curious, playful, patient, and flexible.
- Enjoys learning from young people and following their interests. Can balance structure with youth choice and autonomy.
- Brings enthusiasm for anime, gaming, music, photography, art, or other creative interests.
- Believes the relationship is as important as the activity.
- Able to work weekends.
