What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Development Co-Op position at Extreme Engineering Solutions?
Contribute to the ongoing development of web applications and command line tools that have a direct impact on the company's engineering, manufacturing and business processes. Working within a small team, student developers gain hands-on experience implementing new projects and features, troubleshooting bugs, and continuously improving our development workflows and environments. Typical work includes the opportunity to utilize a range of programming languages and tools including PHP, Symfony, Python, Django, JavaScript and MySQL.
This position is full-time and in-person at our Verona, WI facility for a co-op from January – August 2027. Co-ops typically require students to take a semester off of school to accommodate.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and common design patterns with some experience with Python, PHP or another dynamic language.
- A basic understanding of common software development tools and practices such as Git and GitLab, package management, automated testing and code review.
- Comfortable working in a primarily Linux-based environment.
