Extol, Inc. is looking for a driven and collaborative Service Lead to serve as a player/coach within our Service Team. This position is responsible for triaging customer needs, supporting quoting and scheduling, and ensuring successful service outcomes across installation, repair, and ongoing support. Strong candidates will demonstrate technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to balance customer needs with team development and operational execution.
The Ideal Candidate
- Leads and supports the service team by providing direction, feedback, and development opportunities to ensure strong performance and engagement.
- Drives an exceptional customer experience by effectively identifying customer issues and determining the best solution path.
- Coordinates service activities including triaging requests, quoting work, scheduling resources, and supporting spare parts fulfillment.
- Collaborates across teams including sales, engineering, and purchasing to align on customer needs and service solutions.
- Supports business operations through budget awareness, cost management, and participation in service-related planning activities.
- Drives continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, improving communication, and enhancing service processes.
What You’ll Bring
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in service, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
- Strong technical aptitude, including understanding of machine design, build, or controls systems.
- Experience with customer service, quoting, scheduling, or project coordination.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 1–2 overnight trips per quarter).
