Responsibilities
- Safely install roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment, adhering strictly to safety harnesses and workplace safety regulations
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation of roofing materials and related structures
- Prepare surfaces by performing framing, repairing and replacing sheeting as needed for roof support structures
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment while following proper techniques to prevent injuries
- Assist with the installation of various types of Roofing including; Asphalt Shingle, Rubber, Dectec, Standing seam metal roofing, etc. Caulking, Flashing Details, Breaking various gauges of metal and other exterior finishing tasks to ensure seamless project completion
- Experience in repair work to include diagnosing leaks
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics for roofing layouts, metal fabrication, or restoration projects
- Support the use of hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and fastening materials efficiently and safely
- Collaborate with team members and other trades on remodeling or restoration projects
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and debris removal while complying with construction safety protocols
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing or exterior building systems with 3 years experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading enhances project accuracy
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety regulations and the proper use of safety harnesses is essential
- Knowledge of various construction trades such as siding installation, framing carpentry, window installation and gutters is advantageous
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints accurately for precise project execution
- Experience working on construction sites involving heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, or working at heights ensures readiness for this role
- Bilingual is a plus
