Industrial Coating Manager

Extension Recruiting is currently looking for an experienced manufacturing leader to take over coating operations for our client in Brookfield, WI!

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the Coating Division, and ensuring production goals, quality standards, efficiency targets, and customer delivery requirements are consistently achieved. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role oversees production planning, employee development, equipment reliability, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a safe and collaborative manufacturing environment.

Skills

• ead the day-to-day operations of the coating department to achieve production, quality, delivery, and efficiency objectives.
• Develop production schedules, prioritize workflow, and adjust resources to meet changing customer demands.
• Monitor daily production performance and provide accurate reporting on production status and open orders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, increasing productivity, and improving operational efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Establish and maintain manufacturing standards, operating procedures, and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years of supervisory or management experience within a PVD coating or industrial coating manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and evaluate production employees while maintaining high performance standards.
• Proven experience managing daily production operations, schedules, staffing, and workflow with minimal supervision.
• Experience operating, setting up, programming, and troubleshooting PVD coating equipment.
