Top JobLocated in Orange, CTSalary: $18.89A global food ingredient processor/manufacturer needs a Shipping & Receiving associate for their Orange CT location (Training may be in West Haven location which is 5 minutes away). S&R Associate is responsible for the processing of all daily shipping and packing activities Load, Pack, wrap, label and ship boxes which may weigh up to 55 lbsReview and verify unloading of deliveries to ensure proper quantities have been received and paperwork is accurateReceive material systematically into computer / SAPEnsure FIFO is upheld within all inventory management processeshelp keep storage areas, supply rooms and warehouse clean and organizedMaintain accurate records of shipments in computerInspect out going and incoming loads; file any reporting as needed (damage reports)maintain an accurate inventory level at all timesmaintain an 'audit ready' warehouse at all timesComply with OSHA rules, regulations; compy with applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food & Drug Administration, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance etc.)Efficiently operate a forklift when needed - assist with loading/unloading truck trailers of chemicals, products and ingredients Excellent communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast pace environment.Excellent knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems.
