Job duties include:Utilizing strong computer skills to manage safety-related data, records, and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in updating safety databases and generating necessary reports for management and regulatory agenciesConducting new-hire orientations, including speaking in front of groupsProactively communicating safety and loss control policies and proceduresAssisting with substance abuse programProviding information for weekly safety meetingsProviding on-site field support to employees and safety personnelAssisting the Safety team with hazard assessments in the fieldAssisting with accident/incident investigations, reporting, and recordkeepingCoordinating with, managing, and monitoring subcontractors' safety on a projectAssisting with trainings, such as respirator training, forklift operation, and fall protectionConducting audits of PTPs, equipment inspections, and permitsSubmitted forms to get materials approved for use on siteConducting weekly inventory of materials in use and in storageTracking locations of material storage containersMaintaining proper signage on all material storage areasEnsuring current safety data sheets are maintained and located in proper areasConducting worksite audits for proper material use, and ensuring all crews understand the SDS/hazards for materials they are usingAssisting with new hire paperwork and training documentationAssisting with jobsite weekly requirements, including scanning in incident summaries, PTPs, field inspections, toolbox talksAssisting with field paperwork binders and file folders, ensuring the crews have necessary paperworkAssisting with safety audits and PPE inventoryRequirements:2 years of safety support or safety administration in the construction industryBilingual in SpanishMust be able to work in cold and hot weather, lift and carry up to 40 pounds, regularly climb stairs and ladders, and stand and walk for extended periods of timeProficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in team environmentWillingness to learn state and federal regulations as they apply to job site safetyWillingness to continuously learn and improve safety knowledge and skills through training and developmentStrong commitment to maintaining a safe working environmentValid driver's license and clean driving recordOther details:Pay rate is up to $28/hr.
