Manual Welder

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Manual Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role involves performing manual welding on I-beams and other materials, as well as operating a rosebud or cutting torch to prepare materials for re-welding. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with welding or torch operation, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality and workplace safety. This position offers an opportunity to support production operations by completing welding tasks, preparing materials, and ensuring finished work meets established standards.

Duties

- Manual Welding

• Perform welding tasks on I-beams and other assigned materials according to production requirements.
• Complete welds accurately and consistently while maintaining expected quality standards.
• Perform the same welding duties as regular welders to support production needs.

- Rosebud & Cutting Torch Operation

• Safely operate a rosebud torch or cutting torch as assigned.
• Heat and remove wax from the ends of I-beams to expose weld areas and prepare them for re-welding.
• Prepare materials carefully to ensure proper re-welding without causing unnecessary damage.

- Quality Control & Production

• Inspect completed welds and prepared materials for visible quality concerns.
• Ensure welds meet production quality standards.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently to maintain consistent production flow.
• Maintain steady productivity throughout the shift.

Skills

• Experience with manual welding or cutting torch operation.
• Ability to produce consistent, quality welds.
• Ability to safely operate a rosebud torch or cutting torch.
• Understanding of material preparation and re-welding procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to follow welding procedures, safety guidelines, and production instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain consistent productivity throughout the shift.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
