Job Summary
American Canyon Client is seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of efficiently moving materials while meeting productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and pallets to designated locations.
- Accurately stage, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse or production areas.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers as required.
- Follow all OSHA, company safety, and operational procedures at all times.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety issues immediately.
- Maintain clean, orderly work areas to support a safe and efficient operation.
- Work closely with warehouse, shipping/receiving, and production teams to meet deadlines.
- Accurately complete paperwork, scan materials, or update inventory systems as required.
- Meet productivity goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid forklift certification (Sit-Down / Counterbalance).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent sit-down forklift experience preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Basic math and inventory skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, high-volume warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and palletized materials.
- May involve overtime, weekends, or varying shifts based on operational needs.
