Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Fuel Bobtail Driver to transport and deliver petroleum products to commercial and retail customers. The ideal candidate will have previous fuel hauling experience, a strong safety mindset, and excellent customer service skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a fuel bobtail truck in compliance with DOT, state, and federal regulations
- Load fuel at bulk terminals and transport petroleum products to customer locations
- Deliver fuel to above-ground and underground storage tanks
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery records
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Monitor vehicle and equipment condition and report maintenance needs
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and route changes
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries
- Report accidents, injuries, spills, or other incidents immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Previous fuel hauling or petroleum delivery experience preferred
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to safely handle fuel delivery equipment and hoses
