Short-Run CNC Setup Machinist (Lathe & Mill)

Location: Winona, MN

Schedule: Full-time — Mon–Thu 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; Fri 6:00 AM–10:00 AM

Pay: $18.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience

You clock in early, review a short run of 3–5 parts, and get to work setting up a CNC lathe. Once the first article checks out, you run the batch, perform in-process inspections, and make any adjustments before the parts move on. Next up: a quick changeover to a CNC mill. You break down tooling, re-fixture, dial in offsets, and repeat—owning each job from setup through teardown and final inspection. Between runs, you may step over to a manual machine to tackle a special feature. The floor is clean, the equipment is well cared for, and the team around you takes pride in precision.

• Complete setups, operation, and teardowns on CNC lathes and CNC mills
• Occasional work on manual machines when the job calls for it
• Short-run production (typically 3–5 pieces) with frequent changeovers
• Self-performed quality checks and correction of any defects before release

• Two-year CNC machining degree or equivalent hands-on experience
• Solid proficiency with both CNC lathes and mills; manual machining is a plus
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to first-part quality
