CNC Machinist and Programmer

Job Title: CNC Programmer (1st Shift)

Location: Winona, MN

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–4:15pm

• Friday: 7:00am–12:00pm

Pay Rate: $26.00–$27.00 per hour

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join a local electronics company in Winona, MN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience programming and operating 5-axis and CNC lathe machines, strong knowledge of G-code, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. This role requires precision, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with fabrication and metal finishing processes.

• Set up, program, and run 5-axis and CNC lathe machines

• Read and interpret blueprints and production records

• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, angle finders, tape measures) to verify part dimensions

• Operate fabrication equipment

• Perform welding, metal grinding, and hand grinding

• Understand and read G-code and M-code for machining programs

• Make adjustments to computer programming logic as needed

• Perform die repair on break-press machines

• Implement and maintain workholding solutions

• Manage tooling inventory and restocking

• Perform General Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) on G-code machines

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a CNC programming role (5-axis/lathe experience required)

• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks (or similar)

• Experience with CAM software such as CamWorks or Mastercam (or similar)

• Strong understanding of CAD programming and blueprint reading

• Proficiency in G-code and M-code

• Experience operating fabrication equipment

• Knowledge of welding and metal finishing processes

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
