Die Maintenance and Toolroom Supervisor, Automotive Stamping

You’re the kind of Tool & Die expert who still likes to get your hands on the work—solving tough problems, teaching the trade, and setting the standard for quality. Step into a leadership role where your judgment and experience keep an automotive stamping operation running smoothly.

You start by aligning the tool room’s priorities with production needs. A progressive die needs quick attention—you diagnose, repair, and get it back online. An engineering change on a transfer die comes through; you coordinate prototype adjustments and verify the results. Throughout the day, you mentor team members on best practices, read prints and specifications to plan work accurately, and collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to tackle complex tooling challenges. You stay hands-on—milling, turning, and grinding as needed—to model craftsmanship and urgency.

• Direct the day-to-day activities of the tool room while staying actively involved on the floor
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain progressive, transfer, and line dies
• Support prototype tooling and implement engineering changes to meet production goals
• Prioritize repair work to minimize downtime and sustain throughput
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and tooling specifications to plan work
• Operate manual equipment: mills, lathes, grinders, and related tool room machinery
• Partner with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to resolve complex die issues
• Coach, mentor, and elevate the skills of Tool & Die teammates while enforcing quality

• Extensive Tool & Die background in automotive stamping
• Leadership experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Supervisor (preferred)
• Deep knowledge of progressive, transfer, and line dies
• Proven strengths in troubleshooting and practical problem solving
• Blueprint literacy and hands-on manual machining capability
• Lead-by-example mindset, clear communicator, and pride in quality workmanship

• 1st Shift
• Monday–Friday, 5:00am–3:30pm
• Regular overtime (typically 10–16 hours per week)
• Saturdays as production requires
