Picture starting your shift with a quick scan of the production floor. You review maintenance logs, prioritize today’s preventive tasks, and head to your first machine check. A bearing hum sounds off, a sensor needs alignment, and a conveyor requires a belt tension tweak. You grab your tools, open the panel, read the schematic, and get to work—keeping operations safe, efficient, and moving.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day- Own preventive maintenance across production assets to keep uptime high.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Pinpoint failures quickly and repair equipment to reduce downtime.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and OEM manuals to guide repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections to catch wear, misalignment, or damage before breakdowns occur.
- Replace or repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, sensors, belts, bearings, and related components.
- Enter and work safely inside equipment to make precise adjustments and fixes.
- Support equipment moves, installs, and start-ups across the facility.
- Maintain a clean workspace and rigorously follow safety practices.
- Document all maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to leadership.
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
- Fundamental electrical knowledge and confidence reading schematics.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics (experience preferred).
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Comfort working independently as well as collaborating with a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform in an active industrial environment.
- Industrial maintenance certification or technical training.
- Background working with production lines, conveyors, motors, or automated machinery.
- Welding or fabrication exposure is a plus.
