Maintenance Technician - $25 to $40/hour (DOE)
Long Beach, CA
We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to work for a growing plastic fabrication company in the city of Long Beach, CA.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production hours as well as perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, support equipment, and plant facilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on air conditioning systems and cooling systems as well as perform Maintenance Mechanic activities that may include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, robot, and PLC
- Read and interpret equipment manuals necessary to perform repairs to required machinery
- Detect faulty operations/machinery and report findings to the Maintenance Manager promptly
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary by the Maintenance Manager
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in performing maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and/or robotics systems
- Experience with plastic injection molding machine is required
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Must have a valid Driver License to operate a forklift
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and reach in various directions as well as able to be mobile in tight or uneven spaces
- Great verbal and written communication skills as well as good hand dexterity
- Ability to safely trace electrical circuits with a multi-meter and wiring schematic to find faulty components
