Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Non-Woven Operator for a textile manufacturing facility producing premium polyester nonwoven fabrics. This role involves operating specialized textile machinery used to process fiber blends into finished nonwoven materials.

We are seeking candidates with prior experience working with non-woven or textile production equipment who can monitor machinery, maintain quality standards, and troubleshoot minor production issues.

Responsibilities

As a Non-Woven Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating non-woven textile production machinery used to produce polyester nonwoven fabrics.
• Monitoring machine functions and adjusting settings to optimize production efficiency and maintain consistent product quality.
• Performing routine machine checks and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.
• Conducting quality control inspections on finished products, ensuring materials meet company standards for weight, strength, texture, and appearance.
• Troubleshooting minor machine issues and performing basic repairs when necessary.
• Maintaining accurate production logs, including machine performance and material usage.
• Working with specialized textile machinery including:
• • Slither machines used to cut fiber
  • Fiber blending machines used to mix different fiber blends before processing
  • Mix house and carding systems used to prepare fibers
  • Mallow machines used in final processing stages
• Ensuring fiber blends are properly processed through each stage of production.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment while following all safety procedures.

Requirements

• Prior experience operating non-woven or textile production machinery REQUIRED.
• Experience monitoring machine performance and adjusting production settings.
• Ability to perform quality inspections on finished materials.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Ability to maintain detailed production documentation.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Textile manufacturing or non-woven production experience.
• Knowledge of fiber processing and blending systems.
• Machine operation and monitoring experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and within a production team.

Shifts & Hours

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Full-Time
• Overtime may be available depending on production needs.

Pay & Benefits

• $18.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on prior experience.
