Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Skilled Press Brake Operator for a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring experience with machine setup, die changes, and interpreting production specifications.

This is not a basic operator role — we are seeking candidates who understand machine functions, can perform changeovers, and maintain quality throughout production in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

As a Press Brake Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating Press Brake and Roll Forming machines.
• Performing die and roller changeovers based on work order requirements.
• Selecting and installing proper dies and rollers, adjusting for height, length, and specifications.
• Reading and interpreting work orders, routing sheets, process drawings, layout sheets, and blueprints.
• Planning and executing steps required to complete production jobs accurately.
• Inspecting tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and undamaged before use.
• Monitoring production runs and identifying defects or quality issues after setup.
• Reporting defects and quality concerns to the manufacturing supervisor.
• Maintaining machines by keeping them clean, lubricated, and in proper working condition.
• Working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Prior experience operating Press Brake or similar metal forming machinery REQUIRED.
• Experience performing machine setup and die/roller changeovers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production documents.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine functions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to receive supervision and direction during setup processes.
• Reliable attendance and consistent work history preferred.
• Safety-focused mindset.

Skills & Qualifications

• Press Brake and/or Roll Forming experience.
• Tooling setup and adjustment.
• Blueprint and specification reading.
• Quality inspection and defect identification.
• Machine maintenance and preventative care.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability.

Shifts & Hours

• Full-Time schedules available
• 1st and/or 2nd shift opportunities depending on facility
• Overtime may be available based on production needs
