Category Manager – Retail Sourcing & Merchandising (Travel Retail)

About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Category Manager to oversee sourcing, merchandising, and supplier negotiations within the travel retail sector. This is a high-visibility role that drives sales growth, optimizes assortments, and strengthens supplier partnerships at a national level.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement sourcing strategies in partnership with global category leadership.
- Negotiate with local/domestic suppliers to ensure margin and compliance.
- Develop and coordinate promotions with Marketing and Operations teams.
- Monitor and analyze commercial performance: sales, margins, inventory, supplier terms.
- Review assortments, manage stock levels, and liquidate discontinued items.
- Ensure supplier contracts align with company policy and government regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
- 5–7 years of retail experience, including 3 years in management.
- Strong track record in category management, sourcing, or buying.
- Negotiation and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience in travel retail or jewelry buying a plus.
