Express Employment is Hiring Machine Operators in the Columbia Area! This full-time position offers a consistent Monday - Friday with the pay ranging $17-$19hr depending on experience. You will play a vital role in the safe operation of an industrial saw, cutting materials to precise measurements and ensuring high-quality results. Accuracy is key, as you will be working with valuable inventory that requires exceptional attention to detail.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm
Friday schedule from 1:30pm - 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an industrial saw to cut materials to the correct length and size.
- Use large-scale forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and set them on the machine.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep the equipment and work area clean and organized.
- Interpret blueprints and input operation requirements to ensure accurate measurements.
- Regularly stand for long periods and handle physical tasks with care.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating saws or similar machinery.
- Familiarity with large-scale forklift operation and overhead crane use.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.
- Mechanically inclined and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
