A day in the lifeYour morning might start reviewing one‑lines and blueprints with the foreman. By mid‑day, you’re laying out conduit runs, landing terminations, and verifying loads. After lunch, you could be troubleshooting a tripping breaker at a retail site, then coaching an apprentice through proper lockout/tagout and documenting the work you’ve completed.
What you’ll handle- Install, service, and repair electrical systems and equipment across residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan layout, routing, and installation steps
- Inspect and troubleshoot to pinpoint faults and implement effective, permanent fixes
- Apply local, state, and federal electrical codes to ensure full compliance and safe operation
- Partner with other trades and teammates to sequence work and deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Keep accurate job notes, material usage, and service records
- Mentor apprentices and junior electricians by demonstrating best practices and sharing know‑how
- Active Journeyman Electrician License for the State of Wyoming
- 3 years of hands‑on electrical experience
