The corporate office of Express Employment International is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to play a pivotal role in supporting the success of Express Employment International franchise offices. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of all sales and operations manuals and related documentation. The ideal candidate will ensure that franchise locations have accurate, consistent, and accessible materials in both digital and hardcopy formats to drive operational excellence, compliance, and performance across the network.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the development, updating, and maintenance of all sales and operations manuals for the Express Services, Inc. franchise office systems
- Help lead the creation and revision of technical publications, including user guides, operational procedures, policy manuals, training materials, and compliance documentation
- Produce and distribute manuals in both digital (online) and hardcopy formats, ensuring accessibility, accuracy, and brand consistency
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), operations teams, sales leadership, and franchise owners to gather accurate information and validate content
- Maintain version control and documentation standards across all manuals, ensuring timely updates when processes, systems, or regulations change
- Ensure all technical publications comply with company standards, legal requirements, and franchise agreements
- Track and manage documentation projects from inception through final delivery, meeting established deadlines and quality benchmarks
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews of existing manuals to identify gaps, outdated information, or opportunities for improvement
- Provide support to franchise offices and internal teams by responding to manual-related inquiries and delivering training on new or updated documentation as needed
- 5 - 7 years of experience as a technical writer, with a proven track record in creating and maintaining operational manuals, user guides, or similar technical documentation
- 1- 3 years of field experience in the staffing industry or a related service-based franchise environment preferred
- Familiarity with franchise operations, sales processes, or multi-location business systems is a strong plus
- A high-level understanding of the staffing and franchising industries
- Proficient in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Needs customer service skills, good verbal communications skills/business knowledge
- Strong attention to details and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to write routine review reports and executive summaries of findings
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
