Join our dynamic Legal Department as a Legal Support & Contracts Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations efficient, compliant, and business‑focused. In this hands‑on position, you will support corporate and transactional legal work by drafting, reviewing, editing, and managing commercial contracts and related documentation—ensuring accuracy, risk mitigation, and alignment with company objectives.
You will also serve as a primary point of contact for the Legal Department, managing phone and email inquiries from internal teams, franchisees, clients, and partners. Under attorney supervision, you’ll triage questions, respond to routine matters, escalate complex issues appropriately, and help maintain smooth contract workflows.
This position sits within our Oklahoma City based corporate office, currently with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft, review, and edit commercial contracts and other legal documents, including drafting correspondence and agreements on behalf of both the company and its franchisees, under the direct supervision of a supervising attorney
- Monitor and manage contract workflow for the Legal Department
- Draft, review, and edit staffing agreements in collaboration with other internal subject matter experts
- Perform detailed issue-spotting reviews of franchisee lease agreements and escalate complex or high-risk matters to supervising attorneys
- Draft correspondence and agreements on behalf of both the company and its franchisees, under the direct supervision of a supervising attorney
- Conduct legal research
- Receive, triage, and respond to incoming legal inquiries (via phone, email, and other channels) from the company and franchisees; provide clear answers to routine questions, compile and analyze information for independent recommendations (as delegated), or appropriately escalate complex issues to supervising attorneys or relevant subject matter experts
- Organize and maintain contract files, templates, and documentation systems
- Attorney support, as required
- Other tasks as assigned, including clerical, secretarial and administrative projects as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school
- In-House experience, Paralegal, and/or some college experience preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of related job experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems and ability to edit and proofread correspondence and legal documents
- Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to build relationships both within a team and across external departments
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to use a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office Suite, Legal Tracker, Westlaw/Practical Law, contract management software, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and good work ethic
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment working within time constraints
