Specialized Experience (Credit for Specialized Experience on resume must reflect 40 hours/Full-time per week for each period of work):

GS-11: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience includes:
  • Experience marketing and promoting services, manufactured capital goods, and consumer products in domestic and international markets, including advising clients on market entry strategies and aligning offerings with customer needs.
  • Experience applying international financial and banking principles to support transactions, evaluate financing options, and coordinate with financial institutions and stakeholders.
  • Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to manage client interactions, track business development activities, and inform strategic decision-making.
OR
Substitution of Education for Experience:You may substitute education for the specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level by possessing a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education. Related degrees may include degrees in the field of Bususiness Development e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, International Business or Business Management.

GS-12: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Government. Specialized experience includes:
  • Experience marketing and promoting services, manufactured capital goods, and consumer products in domestic and international markets, including advising clients on market entry strategies and aligning offerings with customer needs.
  • Experience applying international financial and banking principles to support transactions, evaluate financing options, and coordinate with financial institutions and stakeholders.
  • Experience analyzing and applying international risk mitigation techniques, including credit and political risk assessment, to structure and safeguard transactions.
  • Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to manage client interactions, track business development activities, and inform strategic decision-making.
Education cannot be substituted for experience at the GS-12 grade level. For qualification determinations, your resume must contain the following for each work experience listed:

Responsibilities:

This position is located in the Office of Small Business (OSB). OSB is responsible for strategic sales and marketing of all EXIM Bank programs, products and services. This position will service as a Regional Director within our Reginal Sales Division.

At the full performance level, typical duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists clients and potential clients in determining the appropriate EXIM's products to best meet their needs. Assists in the application process of all EXIM Bank products, including eligibility, program requirements, fees and credit requirements.
  • Designs, implements, and monitors marketing plans for a specific geographic territory or special initiatives assignment within SBD. Prepares reports advising various levels in the Bank on the status of these initiatives.
  • Utilizes the Bank's Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) system to obtain leads, cold-call to exporters, follow up on leads, maintains file cases Sales & Marketing 6. You are asked to support a project by retrieving client and activity data from a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce). The data will be used to inform business decisions, so it must be accurate, complete, of possible leads and record status of leads and closed sales.
  • Designs, implements, and monitors marketing plans for a specific geographic territory or special initiatives assignment within SBD. Prepares reports advising various levels in the Bank on the status of these initiatives.
  • Attends domestic trade shows and seminars that showcase EXIM Bank risk-mitigation and financing opportunities to attendees. As needed, organizes and serves as principal and/or sole speaker for training seminars and marketing events.
