What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at Exploring Graphics, a division of Exploring, Inc.?
Position Summary
ID3 Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our fast-paced scenic fabrication and logistics operations. This role is essential to ensuring materials, components, and finished products move efficiently through our shop and to job sites across the country. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment and understands the importance of accuracy, timing, and teamwork in a production-driven setting.
A Day in the Life at ID3
No two days look exactly the same, but here’s what you can expect:
You start your morning by reviewing incoming deliveries and outbound shipments scheduled for the day. As trucks begin arriving, you’re on the floor unloading materials—lumber, hardware, scenic elements—checking them against purchase orders and flagging any discrepancies.
Mid-morning, you’re coordinating with Project Managers and Shop Foremen to ensure outgoing shipments are properly staged. You verify that crates, builds, and graphics are packaged securely and labeled correctly for their destination—whether it’s a local install or a cross-country show.
By midday, you’re updating inventory records, logging received goods into the system, and organizing materials so the carpentry, paint, and scenic teams can access what they need without delay.
In the afternoon, you may be loading trucks, preparing bills of lading, and working directly with carriers to ensure on-time departures. Before wrapping up, you double-check the dock, clean and organize your workspace, and confirm the next day’s shipping schedule is set for success.
Throughout the day, you’re a key link between departments—keeping communication flowing and operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
At ID3, you’re not just moving boxes—you’re helping bring large-scale creative projects to life. From trade shows to immersive environments, your role ensures every piece gets where it needs to go, on time and ready to impress.
