What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Director position at Explore Academy?
Explore Academy is looking for a dynamic and passionate school leader for an innovative, new independent school coming to the St. Augustine area in the fall of 2026.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience (educational experience not required) and have a strong passion for education. Our campus leaders will oversee school operations, manage visitors, parent interactions, student behavior, and ensure that the school is upholding the mission and vision of the Explore Academy educational model.

Candidates for the position should also possess the following credentials / Experience:
Required
- A minimum of 3 years of managerial experience
- 3 strong references/recommendations that speak to your skills as a leader
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and operations
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (in a leadership capacity)
- Experience leading change or growth initiatives
The job (and salary) will begin in July (2026) but will require the individual to attend weekly recruitment events (information sessions, facility tours, etc.) beginning February 1st. Weekly work prior to the start of the annual contract will be compensated through stipends.
Learning centers should enroll approximately 150 students with a staff of 15 teachers/support staff. The campus director position will have a competitive salary with health benefits, along with professional development opportunities.
