Caregiver Job Posting – Respite Care for Two Children (Novi, MI)

Position: Respite Caregiver
Location: Novi, Michigan
Schedule: Weekends
Pay: $15.20–$16.20 per hour, paid weekly
Training: Paid training provided

A caring and dependable caregiver is needed to provide respite support for a family with two children: a 1-year-old male and a 6-year-old male. Both children are not toilet trained and require attentive, structured care. The ideal caregiver will be patient, energetic, and able to engage with the children safely, particularly during moments of verbal or physical aggression from the 6-year-old.

• Provide safe, nurturing respite care for both children

• Assist with diapering, toileting needs, and hygiene routines

• Engage the children in age-appropriate, structured activities

• Use calm, consistent strategies to support regulation during moments of aggression (training provided)

• Follow the family’s established routines and care guidelines

• Maintain a safe and clean environment during care

• Experience working with young children or children with behavioral challenges is helpful (training provided)

• Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent during challenging behaviors

• Comfortable with diapering and assisting non-toilet-trained children

• Strong communication skills and reliability

• Must pass standard background checks

• Weekly pay: $15.20–$16.20 per hour
