Role Description This part-time on-site Registered Vascular Technologist role is based in Columbus, OH. The Registered Vascular Technologist will perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial, venous, and other vascular studies, following established protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, optimizing imaging quality, documenting findings, and collaborating with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The role involves maintaining and calibrating ultrasound equipment, ensuring exam rooms are clean and organized, and adhering to infection control and quality assurance procedures. Qualifications
- Certification and credentials: current registration or eligibility with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Vascular Technology and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with a vascular-focused credential preferred.
- Clinical domain knowledge: demonstrated experience in vascular imaging, with understanding of vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathology; familiarity with related cardiology and medicine concepts as they apply to vascular studies.
- Education and experience: completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or vascular technology program; prior experience as a vascular technologist in an outpatient or hospital setting strongly preferred.
- Technical skills: proficiency with duplex ultrasound, Doppler techniques, and vascular imaging protocols; ability to produce high-quality, reproducible studies and accurate preliminary documentation.
- Patient care skills: ability to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care; skill in explaining procedures, positioning patients safely, and supporting individuals with limited mobility or pain.
- Professional skills: strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team; commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, safety standards).
