Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist

Role Description The Interventional Radiology Technician will support physicians during minimally invasive vascular and venous procedures in an on-site clinical setting in Columbus, OH. This part-time role includes preparing procedure rooms, setting up and operating imaging equipment, positioning and monitoring patients, and ensuring adherence to radiation safety and sterile technique protocols. The technician will assist with image acquisition, documentation, and quality checks to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining equipment, managing supplies, completing procedure-related records, and collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and a safe, positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, with hands-on experience in an interventional or procedural environment, Such as Vascular or Cardiology.
• Knowledge of Radiation Safety principles and best practices to protect patients, self, and team members during procedures.
• Current registration or eligibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent credentialing body.
• Understanding of medicine as it relates to vascular and venous disease, including familiarity with minimally invasive and image-guided procedures.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program; associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences or related field preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols, maintain sterile fields, and respond calmly in urgent or rapidly changing situations.
• Effective communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and with a diverse patient population.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods, move equipment safely, and support occasional lifting or patient repositioning as required.
