Job Summary (Senior SDET – Integration & Platform):
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI and API using Playwright, Selenium, REST-assured, Karate, Java, and TypeScript.
- Validate distributed microservices and REST APIs (including functional, performance, security, authn/authz) and event-driven message architectures (Kafka).
- Execute database validations (SQL) to ensure data integrity, referential consistency, and verify state transitions in complex systems.
- Develop and maintain resiliency tests for scenarios like retries, failure handling, and idempotency.
- Integrate automated test suites directly into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Leverage operational monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK) to analyze logs and ensure system reliability under load.
- Establish and uphold quality gates in partnership with developers, product owners, and architects.
- Mentor team members and drive technical excellence across both modern and legacy system integrations.
- Work in Agile/DevOps environments with strong collaboration and delivery focus.
- Remote position with mandatory quarterly travel for PI planning sessions and possible on-site requirements in Washington, DC, Wilmington, or Philadelphia.
- Preferred experience with: performance testing (JMeter), cloud (AWS), mainframe/batch integrations (3270 systems), and operational domains like transportation, logistics, rail, or financial platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or 7 years’ equivalent experience with 5 years’ hands-on testing of complex enterprise systems.
