Financial Controller at Mid-sized Medical Practice

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Controller to manage the financial operations for a Medical Practice and a growing portfolio of multiple, privately-held businesses. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated and proactive professional to take ownership of all accounting functions and become a key member of our team. You will work directly with ownership and leadership to provide clear financial insights and help streamline processes across different entities.
All candidates must be proficient with SAGE Accounting Software and have a minimum 3 years accounting experience pertaining to Medical Practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple businesses, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with tax preparation by preparing documents for year-end closing.
- Proactively monitor cash flow and track key financial metrics.
- Collaborate closely with management to identify discrepancies, offer financial insights, and improve processes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and proprietary information.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience managing multiple entities simultaneously.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
