Lead Swiss CNC Machinist / Programmer
Location: Hawthorne, CA
Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift (flexible)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Swiss CNC Machinist / Programmer to take ownership of high-precision machining operations in a fast-paced, tight-tolerance manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for programming, setup, process optimization, and leading machinists on the floor to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate Swiss-style CNC machines (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, etc.)
- Utilize CAM software (PartMaker, Mastercam, or similar) to develop and optimize programs
- Lead and support machinists with setups, troubleshooting, and process improvements
- Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T to ensure parts meet tight tolerances
- Optimize cycle times, tooling, and overall machining efficiency
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues
- Train and mentor junior machinists and operators
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Swiss CNC machining
- Strong background in programming and setup (not operator-only)
- Experience with Star, Citizen, or Tsugami machines
- Proficiency in PartMaker, Mastercam, or similar CAM software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and tight tolerances
- Experience in medical device or aerospace machining preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Prior leadership or lead machinist experience preferred
