CNC Mill Machinist (2nd Shift)
Location: – Harbor City, CA
Shift: 2nd Shift (5 days/week, 10–12 hour shifts)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a CNC Mill Machinist with 2–5 years of experience to join a fast-paced production environment focused on machining hard metals and tight-tolerance components. This role is ideal for someone with setup experience who is looking to grow their skills in a high-precision shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform setups and operation on CNC mills (50 taper machines)
- Work with tight-tolerance parts in hard metal production environments
- Make tool offsets, tool changes, and minor program edits
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Support production on a mill-turn and small lathe used for tooling (as needed)
- Maintain production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of CNC machining experience (mills required)
- Setup experience preferred (not operator-only)
- Experience working with hard metals (Inconel, titanium, stainless, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Familiarity with tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining processes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
