CNC Machinist – Hybrid 5-Axis Mill/Turn (Aerospace)Pay: $35–$40 per hour (DOE)Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with experience operating hybrid 5-axis mill/turn machines in an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to machine complex components to tight tolerances. Candidates must have a strong aerospace background and experience working with high-performance materials.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate hybrid 5-axis CNC mill/turn machines (mill-turn technology).Machine complex aerospace components to precise tolerances and specifications.Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.Perform tool selection, tool changes, and offsets.Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.).Adjust machine settings to maintain part quality and meet production standards.Work with aerospace-grade materials such as titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys.Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with aerospace requirements.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, with direct experience on 5-axis mill/turn (mill-turn) machines.Required aerospace manufacturing background.Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.Experience holding tight tolerances (±.0005 or tighter).Knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100 experience preferred).Ability to perform machine setups independently.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma, or similar controls.Experience with multi-tasking mill-turn platforms.Ability to edit basic G-code.Experience in a high-mix, low-volume aerospace environment.Compensation & Benefits$35–$40 per hour (based on experience).Overtime opportunities.Benefits package available (medical, dental, vision, PTO, etc.) – if applicable.Stable, long-term opportunity with growth potential.
