What's the Job?
- Support approved locations: NJ2-101-08-35 & TX2-981-03-31 with a focus on database activity monitoring solution automation for cloud-based databases (AWS, AZURE).
- Design, build, and automate monitoring and security workflows for cloud databases including AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL.
- Implement and validate database security controls such as native audit logging, encryption in-transit and at-rest, entitlements, and password vaulting.
- Develop and maintain integrations and tooling using Python, shell scripting, Linux, and REST APIs to improve visibility and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate in an agile environment using scrum practices and tools such as Jira, Horizon, and CI/CD pipelines.
- 10 years of experience as a SQL Server Engineer or other database developer with deep expertise in Python, shell scripting, Linux, REST APIs, AWS RDS, Postgres, and MSSQL.
- Strong knowledge of database security concepts including native audit logging, encryption in-transit and at-rest, entitlements, and password vaulting.
- Experience with database activity monitoring tools such as Guardium or similar solutions.
- Hands-on familiarity with PowerShell and Ansible, plus the ability to automate security and monitoring tasks end-to-end.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to work independently and within a team while staying proactive and solution-oriented.
- Work on a high-impact database security and monitoring automation role that strengthens visibility and control across cloud environments.
- Apply real-world expertise across AWS and Azure database platforms, including Postgres and MSSQL.
- Build automation using Python, shell scripting, Linux, REST APIs, and CI/CD practices to streamline security operations.
- Collaborate in an agile/scrum environment with tools like Jira and Horizon to deliver improvements iteratively.
