Quality Engineer

Our client, a leader in the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Department supporting manufacturing and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will enable you to thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Eugene, OR 97402

Pay Rate: $29/hr.

Job Type: 6-month Contract with potential for hire/extension

Schedule: M-F 40 hours/week

What's the Job?

• Actively partner with Manufacturing departments, providing tactical Quality support to the teams
• Investigate, analyze, and correct non-conformances (internal, external, and systemic issues)
• Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure their effectiveness
• Collect, analyze, and present Quality data to support continuous improvement
• Create and revise quality documents aligned with regulations and best practices, supporting change control activities
  
  
  

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year experience in a Quality Engineering position, with familiarity in principles within Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE) Body of Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering (Chemical, Biomedical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Quality) or demonstrated equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14971 Medical Devices - Risk Management
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret scientific and technical data
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
