What's the Job?
- Develop, maintain, and support Oracle Exadata / Python / Hadoop-based applications that power enterprise-wide trade and reference data used across credit risk, margin, regulatory compliance, client valuations, treasury, and finance.
- Contribute to design discussions with the development team, aligning solutions to team process, test-driven development practices, and source code control standards.
- Build and enhance Oracle performance analysis capabilities and deliver API development work using Python.
- Interact directly with users to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting the production system, ensuring timely and accurate problem resolution.
- Work collaboratively with the lead developer while also driving tasks independently with strong initiative and ownership.
- Minimum 8 years of experience (10 preferred), including at least 5 years of Oracle Exadata development with Python in a financial institution environment.
- Strong PL/SQL coding skills and Oracle performance analysis expertise, with mandatory Python-based API development experience.
- Working experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop.
- Deep expertise in SDLC process adherence, including disciplined delivery practices and quality expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and stakeholder engagement experience, plus experience working with cross-functional global teams in a fast-paced environment.
