As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering and IT Support organization, supporting enterprise on-premises data center network infrastructure and the core network used by the lab community. The ideal candidate will bring the drive to independently execute operational networking work, the discipline to follow Microsoft standards and documentation practices, and the confidence to troubleshoot complex network issues while collaborating effectively with engineering teams in a remote environment.

- Enterprise L2/L3 network engineering: 5 years
- Network platform operations: 5 years
- Change execution: 5 years
- Support network operations across Microsoft’s enterprise data center and lab networking environments.
- Execute network move, add, and change (MAC) requests and other operational work items under Microsoft FTE direction.
- Perform network maintenance, upgrades, infrastructure support, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Assist with deployment, migration, DLM, change execution, documentation, and operational transition support.
- Help maintain service reliability while increasing team capacity for strategic initiatives and new service onboarding.
- 5 years of enterprise L2/L3 network engineering experience.
- 5 years of network platform operations experience.
- 5 years of change execution experience.
- Proven ability to independently execute network MAC requests with minimal oversight.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or data center network environments, including lab network infrastructure and network operations.
- High-impact, hands-on enterprise networking work at Microsoft scale.
- Opportunity to contribute to critical Windows lab/data center network transitions across routing, switching, firewalls, lifecycle refresh, cutovers, monitoring, documentation, and automation.
- Clear performance focus on work completion, successful cutovers, and change success rate.
- Remote work with expected availability during PST business hours to align with the team.
- Team anticipation of long-term need through the full anticipated tenure (through 12/31/2027), subject to FY28 pending budget approval and business needs.
