What's the Job?
- Design, implement, and oversee efficient strategies for the Cognos Center of Excellence, focusing on long-term scalability and performance.
- Advise and educate internal stakeholders on Cognos architecture, blueprints, and best practices to optimize platform utilization.
- Troubleshoot complex platform and tenant issues independently or collaboratively to ensure seamless operations.
- Create project plans to identify opportunities, improve processes, and support team objectives through collaboration.
- Monitor, maintain, and plan platform usage metrics using Python frameworks, and automate administrative tasks via Cognos APIs or Python scripts.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience with Cognos Analytics, including development, modeling, and administration on V12.
- 3 years of platform administration and automation experience, with a focus on hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.
- Proficiency in data analysis, SQL, Oracle, and containerized environments such as RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Cognos APIs for administration and automation, along with familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude, with the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate effectively.
