What's the Job?
- Code performance test scripts in Core Java to support performance and resiliency initiatives.
- Develop and maintain Unix shell and Python-based framework components used for performance testing.
- Create custom tooling, including mock services, and maintain a tool repository to support repeatable test execution.
- Gather and analyze performance requirements with project owners and stakeholders, then translate findings into actionable code, configuration, capacity, and design recommendations.
- Monitor application behavior during test runs and production support activities, analyze results, and identify code-level performance bottlenecks.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- 5 years of Java and J2EE (client and server side) development experience, including Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- 5 years of experience with distributed systems/software, real-time processing, relational database systems, and messaging systems.
- Linux background with experience in shell scripting.
- Strong diagnostic skills, including troubleshooting JVM issues (e.g., thread dumps, garbage collection, and memory management) and deep understanding of concurrency and multi-threading.
- Opportunity to work on a high-throughput, low-latency, real-time Java trading platform where performance and resiliency directly impact the client experience.
- Chance to independently plan and deliver initiatives across code, configuration, capacity, and design recommendations.
