Are you a First Responder with the Town of Algoma, Omro-Rushford, Winneconne-Poygan, Nekimi, Utica or Van Dyne? Are you interested in providing First Aid during AirVenture Oshkosh 2026? We have just the job for you!
We are looking for motivated people to provide mobile first and assist paramedics on medical emergencies on the EAA grounds. This includes treating people with minor illnesses and injuries that do not require an ambulance, such as bumps and bruises, minor lacerations and abrasions, eye irritations caused by sunscreen, etc.
In addition, first aid employees will assist paramedics at the scene of 911 medical emergencies. They will provide initial first aid, up to and including CPR, use of an AED, artificial ventilations, application of combat tourniquets and other basic life support. They will assist paramedics with equipment and scene safety. They will only function to the level of FIRST AID, and may not insert advanced airways, administer medications, check blood sugars, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- State certified Emergency Medical Responder currently credentialed with one of the agencies listed above.
- Current AHA CPR or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
Personnel may have to work in inclement weather, stand for long periods of time, and work in large crowds. Shifts are 8am to 8pm. First Aid Employees will work in teams of two.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform manual labor applicable to the role, lift up to 75 lbs occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, push and pull motions. Work above ground on irregular surfaces. May have exposure to outside weather elements, noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, and gases.
