What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Expand International?
Warehouse Supervisor
Expand International of America | Stratford, CT | Full-Time, On-Site
Keep the show moving — literally.
At Expand International of America, our portable displays show up at trade shows, corporate events, and brand activations across the country — and every one of them moves through our Stratford warehouse first. We're looking for a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations, support our production and shipping teams, and uphold the level of service our customers count on.
This isn't a warehouse where pallets sit for months. Our business runs on hard deadlines — a display that ships late misses the show. If you thrive on pace, precision, and ownership, you'll fit right in.
What you'll do
- Supervise daily warehouse activities: receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals
- Own inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, organized storage, and clean system transactions
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments against firm event deadlines, working closely with production, customer service, and management
- Inspect, restock, and prepare rental and demo equipment for its next outing
- Manage carrier relationships and shipping documentation for time-critical deliveries
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and performance management
- Identify and implement process improvements that make us faster and more reliable
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment and enforce safety procedures
What you bring
- 3 years of warehouse experience, including supervisory or lead experience
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
- Experience with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight) and warehouse/inventory systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory software (Infor SX.e a plus)
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with genuine attention to detail
- A calm, solutions-first approach when deadlines get tight; leads by example
Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, printing, or production environments; knowledge of inventory control best practices and lean warehouse principles.
What we offer
- Competitive salary
- Health benefits
- Paid time off
- 401(k)
- Growth opportunities with a global brand and a close-knit US team
You won't be a number in a massive distribution center — you'll be the person who keeps a growing business running, with direct access to leadership and real room to shape how we operate.
