Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Lead and supervise warehouse personnel
- Manage the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
- Ensure seamless coordination of material movement within the warehouse
- Collaborate with production and other departments for timely material delivery
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor stock availability
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
- Utilize inventory management software to track materials
- Identify areas for process enhancement and implement improvements
- Promote best practices within the warehouse and logistics operations
- Work closely with production, quality assurance, and other teams
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to forecast material requirements
- Liaise with external suppliers and vendors as necessary
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to materials management
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, material usage, and warehouse activities
- Source and procure materials in alignment with forecasted needs
- Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
