Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selections, offering detailed product demos and recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to maximize visual appeal
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Upsell related products to increase sales and meet store targets while maintaining a friendly, non-pushy approach
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including balancing cash drawers and processing returns or exchanges
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to safety and compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers using professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or specialty retail environments such as cannabis or health & wellness stores
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings and customer interactions
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience in product demonstrations, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on excellent phone etiquette and customer engagement
- Knowledge of cannabis products or related industry experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
