Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and process payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, wine pairings, and restaurant offerings
- Engage with guests to foster positive guest relations and ensure their needs are met throughout their visit
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining or high-end food service environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations professionally
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a genuine approach
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Previous experience in restaurant service, including serving, bussing, or host/host roles preferred
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for hospitality and guest services
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
