Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and personable Fine Dining Server to provide exceptional guest experiences in an upscale restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer relations skills, and the ability to deliver a memorable dining experience. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality, ensuring guests receive attentive service in a refined environment.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and process payments efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, wine pairings, and restaurant offerings
• Engage with guests to foster positive guest relations and ensure their needs are met throughout their visit

Requirements

• Proven experience in fine dining or high-end food service environments
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations professionally
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a genuine approach
• Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Previous experience in restaurant service, including serving, bussing, or host/host roles preferred
• Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
• Knowledge of the food industry standards for hospitality and guest services
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
