The Exit Planning Institute (EPI) is a professional educational company and the authority in exit planning. The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategic social media initiatives across EPI’s brand ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in strengthening EPI’s digital presence, driving engagement, and identifying opportunities to expand EPI’s presence onto emerging and trending social media platforms.
They manage 30 EPI Chapter LinkedIn accounts, the Exit Planning Summit LinkedIn, Exit Planning Institute's LinkedIn, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and Instagram, DriveValue.com’s LinkedIn and Scott Snider's Instagram and X. The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing our online presence and engagement. They are responsible for creating and curating compelling content, scheduling regular posts, and interacting with our online community to foster meaningful connections.
They proactively manage multiple social media accounts efficiently, analyze performance metrics, and continuously refine strategies to maximize reach and engagement. The Social Media Coordinator has strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt to the dynamic landscape of social media marketing. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative professional who can manage a large volume of accounts while maintaining brand consistency, strong engagement, and performance optimization. They are creative and detail-oriented with a passion for social media and digital marketing. They report to the Brand Manager and work closely with our internal Marketing team.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to align with EPI’s marketing goals and brand objectives.
- Create engaging and relevant content for all social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and other media formats.
- Ensure consistent and timely posting across all platforms:
- 3-5 posts per week for the Exit Planning Summit LinkedIn account.
- 4-7 posts per week for the Exit Planning Institute's LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and Instagram accounts.
- 3-5 posts per week for Scott Snider's Instagram and X accounts.
- 2-3 posts per week the DriveValue.com LinkedIn account.
- Create the content calendar for 30 chapter LinkedIn accounts and support the creation of 2 posts per week. Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, comments, and messages across all platforms to build a strong online community.
- Manage all social media-related assets, including Link Tree, ensuring all links and resources are up-to-date and functional.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using relevant metrics and tools to measure the success of campaigns and strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities to expand EPI’s presence onto emerging and trending social media platforms
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall marketing objectives.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies.
Position Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role.
- Graphic Design experience specifically with Adobe Suite and Canva is preferred.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights), and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Creative yet strategic mindset, with a passion for storytelling and content innovation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and consistency in all content deliverables.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills to complete projects within outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- Adaptable, with the ability to function well in a high-paced environment; performs additional duties as assigned.
- Analytical mindset to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve content performance.
Other Position Information:
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
- This is a hybrid position with Monday through Wednesday in office
- Starting salary: $45,000-52,500
- Upon 90-day review
