Smith-Boughan Mechanical, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Industrial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team in Lima, OH.
This is an opportunity to work on industrial and heavy commercial systems in environments such as manufacturing facilities, chemical plants, and refineries. If you’re a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and working independently in the field, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do- Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Work directly with customers to understand needs and deliver solutions
- Complete service documentation and communicate findings clearly
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
- 3-5 years of industrial or commercial HVAC experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Working knowledge of HVAC/R systems, controls, and components
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Service area within approximately a 60-mile radius of Lima, OH
- Primarily local work - minimal overnight travel
- Industrial and manufacturing environments
- $65,000-$95,000 annually (based on experience)
