Job Summary
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors, managing patient appointments, and maintaining patient records. This role involves greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries. The Medical Receptionist ensures the smooth operation of the front desk and supports the healthcare team by performing administrative tasks.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Knowledge
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
