A well-established glass & glazing company on Californias Central Coast is seeking a Glass Estimator for a remote position supporting a wide range of commercial & residential projects.
This role is ideal for an industry professional ready to shape project success with their extensive hands-on knowledge, bringing prior experience as a glass estimator or as a skilled installer with a desire to transition into estimating.
Duties include:
Reviewing architectural drawings, plans, & specifications to determine project scope, materials, & installation requirements; Preparing accurate cost estimates & professional proposals for glass, glazing, windows, doors, & related hardware; Performing detailed material takeoffs & obtaining pricing from vendors & suppliers; Communicating with customers, contractors, & internal teams to clarify project details & ensure accurate quoting; Coordinating with production & installation teams to ensure estimates align with field capabilities & project timelines.
Required qualifications:
3 yrs exp. in glass & glazing industry, with hands-on estimating exp.
sufficient to independently review projects & prepare accurate quotes in remote work environment; Ability to quickly learn & adapt to new estimating software & technology; Strong written & verbal communication skills; Excellent customer service skills with ability to successfully collaborate with customers & internal teams; Tech-savvy, detail-oriented mindset with commitment to accuracy.
Wage:
$30.00-$35.00 hr. DOE. (# Paso Robles)
